Roller-Skating

Once a month the children tackle the challenge of roller skating. Research shows that roller skating effectively promotes balance, lower limb strength, body endurance and social adaptability in children and adolescents. Additional studies indicate that similar gains have been seen in children with autism. There is also some evidence that indicates that roller skating can be used to improve emotional regulation in children with autism. It’s also a great opportunity to be around a wide variety of peers as well as navigate challenges such as noise and lights.
